AN ORGANIC
APPROACH
The organic approach uses natural, non-genetically modified microbial communities to produce biosourced “building-blocks” as feedstock for chemical synthesis. In this process, an organic resource is converted in a fermentation reactor without air-contact and any preliminary sterilization or pre-treatments.

A GREEN
CHEMISTRY APPROACH
The green chemistry approach uses an organic approach combined with more traditional chemical processes to produce biosourced molecules or building blocks. These yield a broad range of high value-added molecules that can be used in a large number of sectors. Our molecules can achieve a very high purity (above 99%), and they can advantageously and entirely replace the petroleum-sourced molecules that are widely used in today’s industries.

AN ECO-CIRCULAR
APPROACH
AFYREN’s innovative use of resources generated from organic raw materials means that it contributes in the quest for the most efficient use of resources. The manufacturing process forms a circular economy that goes from the valorization of biomass in a clean factory back to the earth.
