AFYREN NEOXY: a unique biorefinery
AFYREN NEOXY, the first plant to benefit from AFYREN’s technology and know-how, is based on the CHEMESIS platform at Carling Saint-Avold in Moselle. It is dedicated to the production of a family of 7 organic acids.
This plant is located in the heart of Europe, close to the targeted geographic markets, while retaining the capacity to export specialty acids.
AFYREN NEOXY is the fruit of a partnership between AFYREN and the SPI Bpifrance fund.

A STRATEGIC LOCATION
AFYREN has chosen to locate its plants as close as possible to its markets in France and abroad, and to available biomass deposits. This approach enables us to offer our customers short-run production of biobased acids, capable of significantly reducing their environmental footprint.

In the “societal” category for our innovative recruitment programme:
“Sustainable industrial jobs for everyone”.
Built in partnership with Pôle Emploi, the IUT in St Avold, the OPCO 2I and with the support of France Chimie Grand Est, this programme was implemented to complete AFYREN NEOXY’s production team, in a context of scarcity of profiles for industrial jobs.
In total, the programme enabled the recruitment of around twenty employees (including 12 via the MRS method), who embodied AFYREN’s values (commitment, agility and humility) and formed a high-performance, committed and diverse production team.
International industrial development :
AFYREN aims to increase its production capacity and expand internationally, by deploying its Build and Operate model. The company is studying various scenarios based on biomass deposits and major commercial outlets for acids. These scenarios include the development of production capacity in France or Europe, but also in Asia and America.
